SalonRecords Portal
Secure stylist portals for customers, appointments, service history, formulas, account settings, reviews, SDS records, and business administration.
Denton BBQ designed and built a connected platform for independent stylists and salons: one system for professional records and business management, and another for the client-facing booking experience.
Booking is only one piece of the client relationship. Stylists also need customer information, service history, formulas, notes, appointment records, business settings, notifications, safety documentation, and a reliable way to keep the client-facing experience connected to the back office.
Rather than force those needs into a collection of disconnected tools, Denton BBQ built a platform around the actual operating workflow: SalonRecords for the professional side of the business and BookYourStylist for the client experience.
The goal was not another generic marketplace. It was a configurable business platform that helps stylists own their client relationship, records, and branded booking experience.
Secure stylist portals for customers, appointments, service history, formulas, account settings, reviews, SDS records, and business administration.
A branded client-facing booking experience using stylist-specific subdomains, service information, availability, and appointment workflows.
Stylists control exact bookable start times and publish availability without turning every business hour into an online appointment slot.
Stripe deposit checkout is tied into the booking flow, with deposit exemptions available for approved client situations.
Booking and account notifications use automated email and SMS workflows so both the stylist and client stay informed.
Appointments can connect with the stylist's Google Calendar, including busy-time synchronization and calendar event creation.
Clerk handles secure sign-in and plan-based access while SalonRecords manages the business workflow behind each stylist account.
First-login setup guidance, contextual Help links, and an in-app How-To Wiki help new users get productive without a training manual.
Super Admin tools provide centralized control for applications, stylists, salons, configuration, access, support, and ongoing platform operations.
The platform was moved from an early proof of concept into a standalone application architecture designed for production use and future growth.
SalonRecords and BookYourStylist now operate as a connected system with live booking, deposits, notifications, calendar integration, customer management, onboarding, help content, and platform administration. The result is a working foundation that can continue to evolve as real stylists test it and identify the next improvements.
Just as important, the system was built around the workflow instead of forcing the workflow to fit an off-the-shelf product.
Start with the business problem. Build what fits. Connect the pieces that matter.
Every business works differently. If you have an idea for a better workflow, customer experience, or connected system, we'd welcome the opportunity to hear about it.
